Eastleigh Town Council

In 2022, the unparished area around Eastleigh town centre gained local councils for the first time – the separate Eastleigh Town Council and Boyatt Wood Parish Council. Each council has operated mostly independently until a Community Governance Review in 2025 recommended that they merge, creating a larger Eastleigh Town Council for the whole area in 2026. This new council has seven wards with 22 councillors in total, and will have its first full set of elections on 7th May 2026.
