Eastleigh MP, Mike Thornton has praised local residents’ work to save the Potter Flower Bee - the area’s ‘iconic’ bee.

To celebrate the launch of Carers Week, 10-16 June 2013, local MP, Mike Thornton has joined forces with actress Lynda Bellingham, to recognise the contribution that carers in Eastleigh make on a daily basis.

Mike Thornton MP is backing the campaign to raise awareness of Modern Day Slavery, and is asking local people to be alert for any signs of this in Hampshire. Mike attended one of the most dramatic and distressing exhibitions ever promoted, highlighting the hidden nature of Modern Day Slavery.
