The Conservative Broken Promise to the People of Eastleigh

The Conservatives won the General Election here two years ago on a promise. A promise to get the missing by-passes for Eastleigh and Botley funded in 100 days.

Not 100 days, but 100 weeks later...

Nothing has happened.

Throughout, the Lib Dem Council has pressed for the promise to be kept.

All we’ve had is silence from the Conservatives.  The Conservative MP has let Eastleigh residents down.

This time, Eastleigh residents won’t be fooled so easily.

It’s a question of trust.

Either the Conservative who has not kept her word or Mike Thornton, who has stood steadfast for Eastleigh through the years.

Mike Thornton says:

“The Conservatives have BROKEN their election promise to end traffic misery, with M27 quieter surfacing delayed too.

Don’t let them get away with it again”.
