School cricket team set for Ageas Bowl debut

7 lucky schoolchildren from Nightingale Primary school in Eastleigh are set to enjoy a day's cricket at the world-famous Ageas Bowl, thanks to Royal London and their local MP Mike Thornton.

Mr Thornton was given the free tickets by Royal London, the UK’s mutual insurance company which sponsors 50-Over Cricket, from one- day internationals to grassroots activity. The MP chose to give the tickets to Nightingale Primary School.

MP Mike said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to give these tickets to local children to let them experience a day of cricket. For many of them it will be their first experience of a big sporting event. Who knows, it might inspire them to be the next Jimmy Anderson or Joe Root! I hope they have a great day".
