International business links are being forged

On the 11th January 2006 Eastleigh College hosted the borough's first Business Advice Roadshow.

This unique event gave local companies the opportunity to make contact with other organisations who may be able to provide advice or future partnerships. The attendees included Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities, Business Link Wessex and UK Trade & Investment for the South East.

Local councillor Chris Thomas, who holds the portfolio for business and skills, attended the event, saying

"This event has been a clear success. I am especially pleased with the international business links that are being forged."

The European Information Centre have announced that seven Italian companies will be coming to the South of England looking to enter into partnerships with UK companies.
