NHS ratings show that local health services remain under stress

Commenting on the local performance indicators for the Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne said: "This assessment will sadly not come as a surprise given the financial problems and deficits mounting up.

Mainly due to the allocation of funds to northern areas, there is a real squeeze on the needs of the local NHS which is not being fairly treated by the Government".
