Claire Rayner to Visit Eastleigh Next Week to Talk on Older People's Issues

Former agony aunt and President of the Patients' Association, Claire Rayner, will visit Eastleigh next week to speak on the issues that matter to older people.

Ms Rayner will speak at the Bishopstoke Memorial Hall, Riverside, Bishopstoke in a meeting open to all that begins at 11am on Thursday 24th March.

Ms Rayner, who is one of the nation's best known specialists on care for the elderly, is a passionate believer that the Government should provide proper pensions and free long term care for those who need it.

Chris Huhne MEP, who is the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Eastleigh who organised the meeting, said: "I'm delighted that Claire has agreed to visit Bishopstoke to talk to local residents about the key issues facing elderly people in the election.

"She is an excellent and inspirational speaker with a clear-headed view of what matters. She has a lot to say on the big issues that affect people of all ages, but particularly those that affect older people".
