GM Foods Decision Is Momentous, Irreversible And Wrong Say Lib Dems

Commenting on the Government's approval of the commercial planting of genetically modified maize, Chris Huhne, Liberal Democrat MEP for Hampshire, said:

'This is a momentous, irreversible and misguided decision that flies in the face of the science. Even the Government's own chief scientist concluded that GM crops would contaminate conventional and organic produce, and that GM food could cause future health hazards'
