Hampshire is planning to remove a massive £1,500,000 in funding from bus services. At risk could be weekend and evening services, and cuts to the bus pass used by older residents.
Despite having over £400 million in the County Bank for a ‘rainy day’, the Conservative-run Council still plan to slash funding for transport across Hampshire.
Under consideration are moves to axe weekend and evening services, cut the valid hours for pensioners’ bus passes, and reduce the frequency of weekday buses on supported routes.
